The Musician’s Storyflower is an inspiring journey as musician Liza Mulholland grows a flower for someone special in her life. Written in diary form over six months in 2021 and accompanied by five pieces of piano music for beginners composed during the Storyflower experience, Liza’s story is rooted in family history and visits to the Outer Hebrides. The book contains watercolour illustrations by Marjory Tait and a selection of photographs by Liza.
The Musician’s Storyflower is more than an account of growing a flower; its appeal lies in the fact the flower is grown for someone else, someone special which leads to a range of powerful emotions and wonderful creativity.
Gardening, music and writing all brought together to encourage children – and adults – to grow their own Storyflower and unleash their creative potential.
Family-friendly but also a great resource for schools as most of the Experiences and Outcomes of the Curriculum for Excellence can be linked to it.
